Velorbis’  vintage road racing bike

Comes with ultra thin puncture protected tires and without mudguards and without kick stand no lock, to minimize the weight of the bicycle. Very iconic and sleek looking and great for display in Fashion store windows. This model is not possible to build with an electric system.

Maintenance free

Enclosing the gears inside the hub protects you and your bicycle from all types of weather, hence they involve much lower maintenance than the derailleur systems found on most bikes. Another advantage of internal gears is that they are very simple on the outside and come with a chain guard. This is a much cleaner option allowing you to ride in any clothing you choose rather than having to wear specialist cycle gear. Drum brakes in front wheel prevent that brakes must be adjusted regularly. Puncture protection in all tires allows you to roll easily and prevents unpleasant punctures.

SERVICE

A check up service of the bicycle implies that a bicycle mechanic adjusts, tightens and lubricates all moving parts.

After that, Velorbis advises that you maintain your bike periodically depending on how often and how far you drive. Below is a checklist for future service inspection:

Overview of recommended service review:

1. Inspection, to be performed no later than 2 months from date of purchase, includes the following: Adjustment, tension and lubrication of moving parts.

2. Service inspection that should be done approx. 1-2 times a year, includes the following: Adjustment of steering fittings, crankshaft, gears, front axles, lubrication of exterior moving parts and safety check of tire treads and tire pressure (tire pressure should be 3-4 bar), lights (test of wires or batteries) as well as general safety check of the rest of the bike.
